George Streftaris is Professor of Statistics and his research is focussed on Bayesian stochastic modelling, inference and assessment across the interface of statistics, epidemiology, and actuarial science.

He has an interdisciplinary research record, with involvement in cross-sectional projects concerning statistical modelling in areas including critical illness insurance, epidemics, health and morbidity.

He has supervised a number of PhD students and PDRAs to completion and is currently interested in research topics including predictive modelling and Bayesian statistical learning in epidemiology mortality and health sciences.
